At Skunx Escape Rooms we are not just builders; above all, we are fans. Before we built our own dream in Moordrecht (House of Nowhere), we played dozens of rooms all over the Netherlands.

Because we believe in the power of the escape community, we are happy to share our gems. Looking for top quality, depth and an unforgettable story? Then these are, in our opinion, the 3 rooms you absolutely must not miss.
1. Zoltar Spreekt (Hilversum)

- Genre: Adventure / Magic

If you love wonder, Zoltar Spreekt is a must-play. From the moment you step into the "Escape Café", you feel the love for detail.
Why we are fans: The story is told perfectly, and that is something we at Skunx care about enormously. This room proves that an escape room doesn't have to be scary to make an impression. The atmosphere is magical (think a kind of Efteling quality, but for adults) and the puzzles are perfectly woven into the theme.

2. The Non Believers (Leiden)

Have a bit more time? Then head to Leiden for this 120-minute experience. You dive into the story of a strictly religious family in the village of Pittleburg.
Why we are fans: At Skunx we love storytelling, and The Non Believers is a master of it. It doesn't feel like a puzzle trail, but like a film in which you play the lead. The tension builds slowly without resorting to cheap "jump scares". It is a complete world you get sucked into, and the amount of mechanics... as if it was on sale, haha.
3. Midnite (Rijswijk)

- Genre: Horror / Cinematic

For the real daredevils there is Midnite. You buy a ticket for a late-night screening in an old cinema, but... well, you guessed it: something is not right.
Why we are fans: This is the ultimate experience. The actors, the sound and the technical effects are of an absurdly high level. We couldn't stop laughing and we were on edge the whole time. There is constant tension and you simply never know whether you are safe or not. That effect is of course contagious while puzzling. Where we at House of Nowhere choose an imaginative atmosphere, Midnite goes all in on adrenaline. An experience that stays with you for a long time.

You may have noticed: our top 3 does not consist of rooms full of combination locks and loose puzzles. Every single one is an experience. If there is one thing we love, it is immersive experiences and puzzles. That combination is GOLD!
